Stencil Engine — Multipage Tattoo Stencils Made Simple
Multipage stencils made simple — edit new or add your line drawing. Stencil Engine is the familiar photo-to-line-art workflow most tattoo artists already use, streamlined: tune edges, cut the background if you need to, resize in the print section, and get multipage layouts for back pieces or leg sleeves to the printer fast.
What Stencil Engine does
Familiar line-art preset
Edge Work for bold graphic boundaries. Line Overlay for finer hatching. Automatic blur and tone prep samples your photo and sets shadow lift and highlight trim before you tune by eye — nothing exotic, just the line-drawing step you already expect.
Tuning controls
Tone curve, detection intensity, despeckle cleanup, and invert for black-lines-on-white vs cut-film logic.
Background cutout
Lasso mask with feather and eraser — remove couch, straps, and clutter so line art runs on the subject only.
Multipage print — back pieces & sleeves
Letter, sticker sheet, light table tile, four-page quarters, tiled 2×2. Resize and place in the layout editor, then preview and send to print. A real time saver for large stencils that do not fit one sheet.
Superfast export flow
Opaque PNG, transparent PNG, and PDF — preview thumbnails before share. Heavy Core Image work stays off the main thread so the UI stays responsive. All offline.
